Field End Infant School

Concentration Co-operation Daring Having fun Imagination

Welcome from the SENDCos

At Field End Infant School, we strive to ensure all children flourish irrespective of special educational needs (SEN), race, gender, disability, religion and belief, or socio-economic background. We aim to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which all those connected to the school feel welcomed and valued and can participate fully in school life.

The role of the special educational needs and/or disabilities coordinators (SENDCo) is to coordinate inclusion across the school and support early identification and interventions for children with special educational needs.

Partnerships with parents and carers play a key role in enabling us to create an inclusive, nurturing environment. We recognise that parents ad carers hold key information and have knowledge and experience to contribute to the shared view of a child's needs and the best ways of supporting themWe actively encourage parents and carers to discuss any concerns they have about their child’s development with staff.

Since 2009, we have continuously been awarded the Inclusion Quality Mark “IQM Inclusive School Award” This is nationally recognised award that provides external validation of our inclusive practice and ongoing commitment to developing education inclusion in our school.  Since 2021 we have also been awarded the “IQM Centre of Excellence Award.”

Should you wish to find out more about our provision for children with special educational needs and / or disabilities, please contact the school via email (office@fieldendinfants.co.uk) or phone (02088666163). We would be pleased to answer any questions you may have.
