At Field End Infant School all the children are lucky enough to have gymnastics lessons led by a qualified instructor throughout the year. However, alongside this, our professional gymnastics teacher also runs a gymnastics club for Year 1, Year 2 and Reception children. During these sessions the children complete the ‘Core Proficiency Gymnastics Award scheme' which focuses on:

• Pulse Raising.
• Flexibility/Posture.
• Strength.
• Jumping.
• Balancing.
• Weight on hands/locomotion,
• Rolling.
• Pair work.

Throughout the term the children work towards each of the levels and on completion of each one are presented these during their final session, where parents attend to see what the children have learnt.
