Welcome to Field End Infant School and to our website. We hope that you will find this website helpful whether your child already attends our school or if you are considering joining us. 

As a longstanding member of staff (I started as a teaching student in 2002 and joined the leadership team in 2009, before becoming headteacher in 2022), I have seen the school go through many changes- in government, in education policy and in curriculum to name just a few- but what has never changed is the sense of community and feeling of belonging you get from being a member of staff here.  

We have always strived to ensure that this sense of belonging extends to our children, families and the community we serve; that Field End feels like a ‘home from home.’ As headteacher, I am committed to preserving this ethos; I believe that children learn best when they feel safe, happy and cared for and when school and families work in partnership.  

Our school vision centres around ‘Developing aspirational lifelong learners who will help to shape the future.’ For us, this means helping pupils to become self-motivated, independent learners with a wide range of knowledge and skills that will be useful to them throughout their lives. We are proud of the important part we play in laying the foundations for children to live happy, fulfilled lives and excited to work with you to shape the very best education and school experience for children.
