Developing aspirational lifelong learners who will help to shape the future

Help your child at home

Talk Homework

Talk Homework is a new homework we are setting for all the children in the school. The aim is to get us talking to each other. Once a month we will send you a question or topic to discuss with your child. The idea is that you help your child think through ideas at home relating to the question. In school, the class teacher will set aside some time to discuss the question/ topic in class. There is no right or wrong answer to the questions; they will always be open-ended questions.  Having discussions or debates in class will help broaden your child’s thinking, build confidence and improve their listening and speaking skills.

If English isn’t your home language then please do hold these discussions in your home language to enrich your child’s thinking and understanding.

This month’s question:

What if there were no friends ?
